WeWereAthletes exists to find, organize, preserve and make those games discoverable again.
These films belong in a record.
A video platform can hold the file. It cannot, by itself, explain the school, season, opponent, rivalry, place and people around the game. The archive supplies that structure without pretending uncertain memories are verified facts.
We were athletes. And these were our games.
Built for the people who remember.
The archive is for former players, coaches, families, schools, historians, communities and fans. Its job is to turn “I played at Chardon around 1996” into a clear path from school to season to game.
Not news. Not recruiting. Football memory.
Scores matter as metadata. Rankings, offers, betting and breaking news are not the mission. WeWereAthletes is building a historical institution that can still matter decades from now.
