Source attribution
WeWereAthletes identifies the public video provider and links to the source record. Contributor attribution is displayed only when appropriate and approved.
Ownership
Embedding, indexing or linking to externally hosted footage does not state that WeWereAthletes owns the underlying recording. Rights remain with their lawful holders.
Request review or removal
A complete request should identify the exact archive URL, the source video URL, the requester's relationship to the material, the requested action and reliable contact information. Requests are reviewed before action so the archive preserves both rights and historical accuracy.
Possible outcomes
The archive may correct attribution, replace an embed with an external link, restrict a record, remove a source link or remove the public record when warranted. The internal review history should remain available to authorized archive administrators.
